The scales after the battle

An encounter between a group of adventurers and a black dragon usually ends in both sides fighting fiercely for survival. If the dragon endures and returns to its lair, traces of dark red can be seen among its scales; the question is, do they belong to it or the heroes? Anyway, acid-breathing wyrm rests among the onyx stones in the dark of its cave, using their healing properties to recuperate.
