We made dice for newest Edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. This was an honor because we support the legendary game, that paves the way for many RPGs. But with forth Edition, we all are certain that Old World is eternal and survive everything, even End Times and Armageddon in Battle. Sigmar himself wouldn’t let to end his empire in a roleplaying game. Other Old World games didn’t have so much luck. When you see the Starter Set, you will find inside two custom d10 dice that helps you discover Karl Franz Empire and all monsters that lurk in shadows. Some of this beast will look human, with all human characteristics, but they are corrupted to the core.
We can say, that there probably, as ale little bird told us, possibly, maybe, could be in future our Q WORKSHOP full set with dice for Warhammer, but in the time of waiting for yet not existing dice, we can suggest some choices for your heroes in the grim and gritty world of Warhammer. We have made many sets with d10 and d100 in so many colors and models, that there is no chance to try all of them. Below you find some humble advice which set can help create a desirable character and boost immersion.
If you are classic Warhammer’s Fan, that love filthy shadows of all Imperial Cities and Locations, you should familiarize with our Classic Sets. They are readable and in all colors of electors and many more. These sets can be a starting point for creating a war veteran, that went on adventure after the war. If your character is from Reikland, you should choose White dice, like the banners of Reikland Units. Maybe your hero fought under this white pennant, and dice are proof of his bravery like Medal of Honor. Maybe you come from Nuln Artillery units, so Smoky and White dice will be remainder of your character risky past. The Caramel and White is our “sweetest” dice set in look so your halfling Hot Pot Catapult Chef will be glad to use them. After the first roll, anybody can say, that the angry cook is more dangerous that dragon. For all admirers of water, rivers and lake voyages we have new colors of Classic: Stormy like Scheissewetter weather, Olive like water full of mud in the bilge of riverboat and Lavender like paint on hulls of Imperial War galleys, where all poor convicts end their life. Take your pick.
If your character, due to poor miserable childhood make a career as Borrower, Con Artist or simply thug, the dice from Pathfinder Council of Thieves Set will be the best. The parchment beige and lockpick are a sign of devotion to rogue life and rebellious nature. When your hero doesn’t care about the justice system, because was robbed of happy times with Ma and Pa, and all he knows is gutter smell and autumn rainstorm, these dice will be remainder of great destiny that awaits him high on the gallows. YOLO and don’t say Hail to Nurgle too many times.
Maybe your hero has a noble forest heritage because he lives in wood. Maybe he is very conservative (only thick russet and clogs) and tries first real leather shoes after adolescence, because your family was eaten by wolves, and your burrow hut was trampled by river troll. The best choice will be Forest Dice, that shows that your character is proud woodman and despise all this fops and dandies from cities.
Last but not least two obvious choices, because we must say something about the sponsor: Q WORKSHOP has Elvish Dice and Dwarven Dice. Maybe it will be a sign of sophistication and defiant personality if your elf will be using dwarven dice or dwarf troll slayer will be using elvish dice. Be rebellious, because Old World is a very unfriendly place, where madman laugh is something that will be last that will stay.
